Can I apply to more than one programme at a time?

All of our programmes have different roles & responsibilities, so we encourage you to familiarise yourself with the information regarding each of the programmes. This will help you choose the right programme for your particular chosen career path or which matches your skills and experience.  You will not be able to apply for more than one programme.

Can I apply if I haven't graduated yet?

Our graduate programmes are open to recently graduated candidates or those who are in the final year of their studies at the time of application. Our Work Placement programme is aimed at those university students who are studying towards their undergraduate degree and are in their second year at the time of application.

Can I apply if I have graduated from university 2-3 years ago?

Yes you can apply if you meet all of the requirements of the programme- for more information please read specific details for your chosen programme on the vacancy page. We value work experience that graduates have undertaken after finishing university.

If I have a Master's degree or the equivalent - is there a different programme available for me?

We offer programmes for graduates of undergraduate and master’s degrees (or equivalent) via the same route – we don’t currently have separate programmes.  If you believe your studies and qualification are better suited to a different role, please visit www.dhl.com/careers

I don't currently have a full driving licence - can I still apply?

All of our programmes require you to have a full driving licence. You can still apply if you are in the process of having lessons, but if you were successful at the assessment centre, any offer made to you would be subject to you getting your driving licence before you started on the programme.

Are current DHL employees eligible to apply?

Yes, as long as you meet the requirements and criteria of the programme you are interested in.

When should I expect to hear about the progress of my application?

We aim to notify all our applications of an outcome after each stage of the recruitment process within 5 working days. Up until the assessment centre this is done via email as we appreciate how busy you might be with your studies or current work, and taking a phone call may not always be practical.

I am having technical difficulties with submitting my application - who should I contact?

Please email dhlsupport@gtios.com with details of the issue you are facing and they will respond with some instructions on how to rectify this.

What does the location Nationwide mean on advert? Will I really have to move locations?

We have sites up and down the country and many of our graduates are based in various locations across the UK.  We place graduates where there are real business needs so where our placements are located is up to our senior managers. The more flexible you are, the more opportunities open to you. We do expect our graduates to be fully flexible on location.

Can I complete a placement in another country?

We recruit graduates in specific countries to undertake their placements locally, so you will stay in the same country for the full duration of the programme.  Our programmes are carefully designed and structured to equip our graduates with the tools, knowledge and skills to operate in the local markets. However, after the programme if an international opportunity is available we encourage our graduates to apply.

Will we be in contact with other graduates or senior managers during the programme?

Our graduates have access to a huge network of people to speak to and get support from. You will have a mentor who will offer careers advice, act as a role model and demonstrate how networking works in practice. We also have a buddy scheme where new graduates are put in contact with current graduates who offer advice on an informal basis around things like relocation, past experiences, and answer any practical questions or concerns. Networking is a key aspect of our business and you will build on this network as you progress your career with us.

What is the process for obtaining a job with DHL at the end of the programme?

We guarantee all of our graduates permanent positions with the business once they have successfully completed the programme.  During the programme we have career development workshops which help support you in this process.  Of course by the time you have completed the programme you will have developed a large network of contacts who will be able to support you in the search for your first role.

Can I apply for DHL Graduate Programmes in other countries?

We would advise if you are unable to find information on our main DHL website https://www.dpdhl.jobs/students-and-graduates that you contact a DHL site in the country you have chosen to try and obtain further contact details and information.

Do you offer Internships?

At present we do not have a formal internships or short term work experience process. We have a 12 month Work Placement Programme and details of this can be viewed on this website. For all other types of internship, we would advise you contact a DHL site within the location or business area you would like experience in to establish contacts and further information. Alternatively, please view the DHL job pages at www.dhl.com/en/careers and www.dpdhl.jobs/.

Do you sponsor International students?

Currently we are not in a position to sponsor Visa requests. Our policy is clear we require the correct right to work information prior to being able to offer any potential employee and therefore, we have put this as a minimum requirement for candidates to be able to apply to our programmes.

You may however apply for any of our positions via our website at the following address: www.dhl.com/en/careers and www.dpdhl.jobs/ as some sectors within the wider DHL business may have different policies.

If you cannot find the answer you are looking for in this section, or the other pages on the website, please do not hesitate to contact one of the Graduate Team on graduate@dhl.com.
