Jaclyn Pannell attended Durham University and joined the Supply Chain & Logistics graduate programme in 2007. She is currently a Marketing Manager.
Why did you choose the DHL Graduate Programme?
It provided me with the ability to try different functions and be able to move across the business into new sectors, start-ups, and functions.
What was your favourite experience/memory during the Graduate Programme?
My favourite experience on the graduate programme was getting involved in a UNICEF project and raising £75,000.
What makes the DHL graduate programme unique?
Being able to experience and move cross sector/function, product and role in a short space of time. You have the autonomy and support to find the right career path for you.
How has being a part of the DHL Graduate Programme helped you accomplish what you have with your career?
I was given the time to study for new qualifications and skills with the CIM and CIPR. The programme also gave me exposure to senior leaders and profile in the business and exec sponsorship, and overall helped me become a better business partner.
What is an average day for you in your current role?
There is no average day! I could be speaking to a customer about a media event, on location for a video shoot, working on a sales bid right through to managing a conference event or tweeting our news on twitter.
What advice would you give to future graduates in the DHL programme?
Be you. Can do. Engage others and if you fail, learn from it and do it with a smile!
What type of person do you think is the right fit for DHL?
Those who are customer obsessed, get stuck in, and those who engage and take the team with them on the journey to delivering a first class service for our customers.
