Operations Program

Operations Management within logistics is all about what goes on in the warehouse & transport environments - otherwise known as the front line of the DHL Supply Chain business.

Operations Management Graduates experience a range of structured placements across a variety of sites & locations, which might include working with customers in our retail, healthcare or automotive sectors.

All graduates are supported to develop their skills to ensure early responsibility and fast progression into operational management roles such as Operations Manager, Transport Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager, Account Manager or Contract Compliance Manager.

Duration

18 months (starting September 2012).

Program Structure

Three six month placements within different sectors and geographical locations.

Location

Based in UK, Europe, Middle East or Africa.

Training & Development

On the job training plus six structured workshops throughout the 18 months. These focus on developing your management skills and a community project.

Entry Requirements

  • Degree educated, any discipline considered
  • Eligibility to work in the country/location applying to
  • Hold a valid driving licence for the country applying to
  • Flexible to move around the country applying to
  • Must be fluent in English and the local language for the country applying to.

Process

The first step is to complete an online application. If your application is successful you will be invited to complete online tests and finally a one day assessment centre.

Timescales

UK - applications for our 2012 start Operations Programme are now closed

Non-UK - We will be recruiting in the following countries with applications opening in March 2012 for the following countries - Czech Republic, Hungary, Oman, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia and Turkey.
