When graduates join our programmes we understand that you want to learn – and we are looking for people who have a thirst for developing themselves. To support the ‘on the job’ training you will get in your placements, we have designed a training & development programme which will give you the skills & tools you need to succeed during the programme and beyond. 


All graduates will have an induction plan – which will include an onsite plan in your placement, but also an induction event where you get to meet the rest of the graduates joining the programme at the same time as you.  The event will include sessions with our senior managers and an introduction to the DHL business. You will also have the opportunity to get to know your fellow graduates and to share some of those first day nerves!  This will help you to get a better understanding of the overall business and help you settle into your new role. 


You will also attend regular development workshops aimed at developing a range of people management and technical skills. Topics include project management, leaderships skills, supply chain & logistics and career development.  You will also have the opportunity to work on a group based business project – a real life project, with a senior sponsor.


During the placements, all graduates are provided with regular development feedback from their line managers and will be set challenging goals to complete at all stages of their programme. Support will also come from our graduate buddies network and through senior managers who will act as mentors to help shape our graduates’ careers in DHL. 


Graduates completing our Finance, HR & Business Technology programmes will also have the opportunity to complete professional qualifications in these areas.
